Is it safe to use on live collections?
Yes. When you take over an existing collection in adopt mode, the first sync makes zero changes. Your current product set is captured as a baseline, and rules take effect only as you choose to introduce them. Every configuration change is logged with before/after detail, so you always know what the automation is doing and why. You can restore the original baseline or release the collection back to Shopify at any time.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
All app data — collection configurations, rules, sort settings, audit history, sync history, and membership records — is permanently deleted within minutes of uninstalling. Your Shopify collections are left in their last state and return to full manual control. No customer data is ever stored.
What data does the app access?
Smart Collections reads your products, collections, and inventory levels to evaluate rules and sort membership. It writes collection product order. No customer data — orders, customer records, or personal information — is accessed or stored.
Do I need to change my theme?
No. Smart Collections manages which products appear in your collections and in what order. Your theme, storefront, and collection URLs are unchanged.
